Every RichStich Suzani jacket is hand-embroidered by skilled artisans in India using traditional Suzani needlework, then finished on soft velvet for a rich, tactile feel. The relaxed, boxy silhouette layers easily over denim, knits and dresses, and works for any gender.

Suzani, from the Persian word for needle, is one of the world's great embroidery traditions, known for its bold blooms, winding vines and medallions. Our artisans in India bring it to soft velvet, working every motif by hand in dense chain stitch so the colors sit raised and rich against the pile. Because each piece is stitched by hand,small differences in shade and stitch make every jacket slightly different.

Very close – but every motif is embroidered by hand, so stitch placement and shades vary slightly from piece to piece. That's the mark of real handwork.
